You will find all planned projects below. Payment and fabric requirements for each project are due at the beginning of each 8-week class.

I will provide the patterns for each project, sewing thread, tools, and sewing machines. You will bring the fabric, buttons, and zippers as needed to class.

Project One:  Aug/23/30 - Sep/13,20,27 - Oct/4,11,18

Second-year student project Coming Soon!

In this first 8-week-session returning students will go over basic skills acquired the previous year, and finish a project that refreshes their confidence in sewing.  Repeating these basics after the long summer break will be good for everyone. Second-year students will work on a project that is equal to their skill set.

(First Year students) New students work through the basics, finish a standard pillowcase, and a reversible apron.

We will take measurements for the next project and calculate fabric needs.

Project Two: Aviator Hat - Oct/25 - Nov/1/8/15/22/29 - Dec/6,13

Aviator Hat by Twig & Tale

Project Three: Breeze Shirt or Dress - Jan/3,10,24,31 - Feb/7,14,21,28

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Children will be reminded of the safety and the use of basic tools and materials in the sewing workspace, and finish at least one project.

Patterns, tools, and sewing tread will be provided, but fabric must be purchased. I will be happy to recommend fabrics but love it when the children take initiative to design their creations. If you would prefer to purchase fabric from me, please let me know two weeks prior to starting, I am happy to have the appropriate fabric available.

  • The use of all tools will be provided.
  • He/she will be reminded of the basic functions of the sewing machine.
  • He/she will set up the workspace.
  • He/she will read a simple pattern and create something using it.
  • He/she will sew along and finish projects.

No need to bring a sewing machine or other sewing tools. They are made available in the sewing room for your child to use.

By signing up for any of my classes your child agrees to follow basic safety rules in and around the workspace. I will go over these rules with all students during their first lesson, but please read over them on one of the pages of this information packet. (this pdf will be updated soon).

Space is limited to 3 students.

"Annette nearly 9 years ago you made a doll for a 5 yr old child I was adopting. You named her "Lilly" for us. She is a more traditional Waldorf doll with embroidered auburn hair. My daughter loves Lilly and has slept with her every night since she arrived for her first Christmas here."

"We aren't a wealthy family, however, our Ringalina doll Lisa Mollen has been a joy for our entire family for 6 1/2 years now. She has soothed my daughter through her daddy's multiple deployments, and been a constant companion for all of us! Poor Annette has repaired and recovered Lisa through her many love nibbles and accidents, not to mention all the replacement locks of love that have lovingly been restitched. The cost of these dolls pale in comparison to the love, artistry, craftsmanship and friendship that goes into them. I wouldn't want to envision my daughters childhood, escapades and adventures without Lisa and now Elle! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Best Elf Ever!”
