For this class, students should be between 8 and 13 years, but you as the parent are the best judge of your child's abilities and interests.
This year I would like to start with doll making, which will introduce wool sculpting and hand-sewing. I am planning to introduce or continue to build upon various skills, including stitching, knitting, wet-felting, and needle felting. We might do some drop-needle spinning, and maybe even some dyeing. All skills will be related to fiber crafts. These crafts are slow-paced and children will have to persevere; which does not always come easy.

I used to teach Handwork at the Emerson Waldorf School in Chapel Hill and would love to bring these skills to my community here in Edenton.
Spots are limited - Payment to reserve a spot is required. We will have a total of 32 weeks together, which equals 8 installments of $110 (your commitment to Cloth&Twine). Monthly payments are due at the beginning of the month.
All materials are included in this course fee and all tools will be provided.
By signing up for any of my classes your child agrees to follow basic safety rules in and around the workspace. I will go over these rules with all students during their first lesson.
The course will be taught at Cloth & Twine at 527 Yeopim Rd, Edenton NC 27932. Thursday afternoon courses are from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm and are available to a limited number of students.
